Jab Tak Hai Jaan actress was quoted saying that “I believe if we have right kind of support, a woman-centric action film really works. It will be a complete transformation and something radical. I would love to do action films… I recently saw ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ with a character like the one Charlize Theron did. I really wish to do something like this.”
Katrina shared a special bond with ace director Ali Abbhas Zafar and have worked in many projects together. It is quite evident both the celebrities keep on posting many photos together on social media. A while back in March, Sing Is King actress confirmed signed on for Ali Abbas Zafar’s next which was at that time in development phase.
As per latest update, the director Ali Abbas Zafar has finished writing his new film. Ever since the lockdown was declared the director is being stationed along with his parents in Dehradun where he built his beautiful bungalow from the scratch. While interaction with the media opened about his upcoming projects and how is so peaceful staying in Dehra and also got time to work on his next project as well as spending quality time with family which he hasn’t done ever since moving to Mumbai way back in 1999.
The Sultan director next project will be a superhero movie featuring Katrina Kaif as the lead. The movie will start filming once the lockdown is over and government gives the approval to start shooting of the movies. He also was quoted saying “There’s a lot of prep required because of the kind of action involved and I am in touch with an international team over video calls. I’m also doing script readings with my actors and chatting with the production designer. There’s a lot happening.”
During this troubling times ali has converted his dream house into a studio which is helping him to stay connected to the projects and on the post-production part of his films. The studio consists of a sound-mixing studio and film editing too. “It’s very simple, all you need is a machine and the hard drive. This is like my back office out of Mumbai.”
On the work front, Katrina will next be seen in Sooryavanshi opposite Akshay Kumar, the movie is being directed by Rohit Shetty and is an extension of his cop universe (Singham, Singham 2, Simmba).
