At the time of Coronavirus pandemic, the nation is on a lockdown and for the sake of the people’s welfare have been urging the citizens to stay at home. The rapid outbreak of the coronavirus is current an alarming health crisis that the world is grappling with and confirmed cases has risen 1016330 and till continuing. The COVID-19 outbreak is a human tragedy and impacting on the global economy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi while interacting with the nation few weeks announced that nationwide lockdown for the next 3 weeks. The lockdown will commence at midnight on 24th March and will end on 14th April. As per latest figures India’s Covid-19 infection count has risen to 2586, on the other end death count has risen to 73. Health ministry informed that 192 of the patients have recovered and discharged.
Prime Minister once again addressed the nation last night and to share a coronavirus update to the country. During the interaction urged the citizens across the country to switch off their lights and hold candles, lamps and mobile flashlights at 9 pm on Sunday, April 5, for 9 minutes to pay show of solidarity, to fight the darkness of coronavirus. PM Modi in a video message was quoted saying “On April 5, Sunday, at 9 pm, I want 9 minutes from all of you. Turn off all the lights in your homes, stand at your doors or balconies and light candles, diya (lamp) or mobile flashlights for 9 minutes.”
He further added that “We must all together, challenge the darkness spread by the coronavirus crisis, introducing it to the power of light. No one is alone during the lockdown; the collective superpower of 130 crore Indians is with every citizen.”
Previously in the address the nation Modi ji urged the nation to observe a Janata Curfew on the Sunday of March 22. The main vision was for applauding coronavirus warriors and show unity post the clapping and clanging of utensils during the Janata Curfew..
Prime Minister released the statement “We must all go through this darkness together… those who are most affected by this are the poor and the marginalised. To overcome this darkness, we must all unite to spread the light… make this darkness of coronavirus meet the light we all spread.”
PM Modi shared the plan to ensure staggered movement of people as the national lockdown ends. “It is important to formulate a common exit strategy to ensure staggered re-emergence of the population once the lockdown ends.”
But there is one positive aspect as the Levels of air pollutants and warming gases over some cities are showing significant drops as coronavirus effects work and travel.
