Amitabh Bachchan is an institution in himself and the man doesn’t need any introduction. He has enthralled us with his acting for the past 4 decades. He is an actor par excellence who has given us memorable roles which are etched in the mind of cinemagoer even till date but also has sung few songs which have gone on the become chartbuster. He is also known by many nicknames such as Big B, Shehenshah, Angry Young Man and many others. Bachchan Saab literal name means ‘unlimited brilliance’.

It is his baritone voice which sets him apart from everyone else and fluent command over the language is quite evident whenever he speaks or deliver dialogue in the movie. He made his debut with Saat Hindustani in the year, 1969 and his performance was appreciated which led to him winning National Award for the best supporting actor but the movie tanked at the Box office.

Post that legendary actor movie failed to make an impact with the audience besides the iconic movie, Anand in which he essayed the role of a Doctor and also featured Rajesh Khanna and received immense compliments and praise. But fortune changed post the release movies such as Zanjeer, Deewar and Sholay that got him the much-deserved acclaim, admiration and fame. He was termed as a one-man industry.

Amitabh Bachchan is possibly the biggest superstar of Indian cinema, turns 77 today. He took to social media took to thank the fans for sending birthday wishes started pouring in even a day before his special day. He wrote, “My immense gratitude and gratefulness to them that send their wishes for the 11th .. I cannot possibly thank each one individually .. but each one of you reside in my heart .. my love to you ..Anek anek dhanyavaad.”

During a recent interaction with the media, Pink actor was asked if he had any special birthday plan and was quoted saying, “What is there to celebrate? It’s a day like any other. I’m grateful that I am still working, that my body is able to keep pace with my spirit,”

On the professional front, Mr Bachchan will next be seen movies in movies Brahmastra and Chehre. In Brahmastra he will share screen presence with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Akkineni Nagarjuna and the movie is all set to release in summer 2020. Sujoy Ghosh’s Gulabo Sitabo alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Rumi Jaffery’s Chehre among other films.
